C-001Cost set

Priced by the people who actually log in.

Not by headcount on the books. A company with forty people and twelve users is on the smaller plan — and deactivating a departed worker, which you should do rather than delete them, never costs you a seat.

Your evaluation

Your evaluation account is small in scale and complete in features: every gated capability, the AIA engine included, on up to 5 employees and 2 projects. Nothing is held back, because an evaluation that cannot demonstrate the thing you are buying is not an evaluation. We set it up with you rather than handing you a signup form.

C-900General notes

The questions subs actually ask.

Anything not here, ask a person: support@sc-connect.app

01
How is this different from Procore or Autodesk Build?
Those are built top-down for general contractors — to enforce compliance on trade partners and manage what the GC owes downstream. SC Connect is built bottom-up for the subcontractor: it optimises your upstream collection, protects your extra-work margin, and treats the GC as an outside party who never gets an account. Same industry, opposite direction.
02
Does the general contractor have to buy anything?
No, and they never create an account. GC staff review and legally approve tickets and submittals through a signed magic link sent by email. It expires, it is auditable, and it is forwardable to their office.
03
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Your account goes read-only, never dark. SC Connect holds certified payroll signed under penalty of perjury, lien deadlines where a single day forfeits the right, and signed T&M tickets that are legal instruments. Reads, exports and downloads keep working through any billing state.
04
How does the QuickBooks sync handle retainage?
It splits the journal entry automatically — net billing to accounts receivable, retention to a dedicated retainage asset account — and it uses idempotency keys, so a retry during a network hiccup cannot book the same transaction twice.
05
Which plan am I on if I have 40 people but only 12 use the software?
The smaller one. An employee is an active user in the system, not a headcount you type in. Deactivated users and closed projects stop counting, so keeping records you are legally required to keep never costs you a seat.
06
Does it work offline in a basement with no signal?
It is a mobile PWA built for job-site conditions — installs to the home screen, opens fast on a bad connection, and is designed around the reality that the best signal on a project is usually in the parking lot.
